Blanking, forming and perforating metal stamping tool set

Set of 3 tools to make a metal stamped part. 

Tool design and manufacturing by Vortool.

Tool 1: Blanking tool and die cuts out a circle first and couple of holes from the strip.

Tool 2: Forming tool and die forms the part.

Tool 3: Perforating/piercing tool and die punches every second hole in the part. When part is turned it punches out remaining holes with same up.

Perforating metal stamping tool and die

Perforating tool and die punching 282 holes.

Made for two different coil widths: 7.5” and 8.75”

Progression: 6.0”

Closed height: ~8.350 

During operation, the perforating tool and die should never contact with the limit stops. Set closed height (shut height) above limit stop by ~0.020 – 0.040.
